From holistic lifestyle modifications to hormone therapy, together we will find a solution that will help you get back to feeling like yourself.

Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT)

Most menopause symptoms are caused by the decrease of estrogen produced in women’s bodies by the ovaries. Addressing the lack of estrogen with HRT is safe & effective treatment for most women going through menopause.

Hot flashes often begin to improve after a few weeks, but it can take a couple of months for other symptoms to improve. Taking HRT also has health benefits, reducing the risk of osteoporosis and heart disease.

  • There are different types and doses of HRT. Finding the right combination for each woman usually results in improvement in symptoms and quality of life.

    •  Estrogen-Estrogen therapy treats a variety of menopausal symptoms and also offers the benefit of bone protection that is essential in preventing osteoporosis and bone loss.

    •  Progesterone -Women who have a uterus need to take progesterone in addition to estrogen to protect the uterine lining. Taking estrogen and progesterone together is called combination hormone therapy.

    •  Testosterone-Recommended for women who have sexual concerns or symptoms, such as low sex drive.

Non-Hormonal Therapy

There are non-hormonal treatment options for the symptoms of menopause for those who cannot or chose not to use estrogen.

Medications, like some anti-depressants, can help manage hot flashes and night sweats. Vaginal symptoms can be managed with moisturizers and lubricants. Other treatment modalities are available, such as cooling techniques and identification of triggers.
